Stuart Michael Associates were looking to develop a website that allowed residents of a new Bovis community in Selby to communicate online and discuss travel options including public transport, railways, cycling and car sharing.
As part of pre-planning requirements SMA needed to provide residents with access to information about local facilities including doctors, supermarkets and other day to day needs. The requirement also included an area where the residents could communicate securely and discuss their local area and transport queries.
Our Approach
The Baycat team put together a detailed specification containing all of the requirements of the community website. This specification included using the best tools and technologies to provide everything Bovis wanted and needed. Whilst putting this all together, Surge identified some key areas where the clients brief could be simplified whilst providing a better experience to the end user.
The Results
- A customised version of a well known CMS system was made
- Customised forums, blogs and areas where the client could upload information
- A well designed site that it is simple to navigate and easy to use, whilst being modern and current
