In An Internet Minute – 2013 vs 2014

Being a digital marketing agency, we’re always using the internet to help promote and market brands. The internet is a glorious thing that can do so many things, it’s not all social media and cat videos! In 2013 there were approximately 4.11 million Google searches every 60 seconds. Google, for us, is the be all and end all of what we do and how we work. They are the mac daddy of the online world and a force to be reckoned with.

We’ve come across a very interesting infographic by Tech Spartan that looks at an “internet minute” in 2013 and compares it to the latest figures from 2014. As you can see from the chart at the bottom, all of the activities listed grew in some way or another. The smallest increase surprisingly came from Google searches, which only increased by 1.9%. The largest increases came from content uploaded to YouTube at an 197% increase and Intragram image uploads which grew by 76.31%. Keep reading to find out more…
